CreativeBunny ("we") operates the Android application Doodle Road (the "App"). This policy explains what data the App handles and why. It is written to match exactly what the App does — if the ad configuration changes, this page is updated too.
The short version
Doodle Road is a single-player, offline game. There are no accounts, no servers of ours and no cloud saves. Your levels, stars, best times, coins and unlocked themes and vehicles live in the App's private storage on your device and are deleted when you uninstall it.
The one exception is advertising: the App shows ads supplied by Google AdMob, and AdMob collects data of its own. That is described in full below.
What stays on your device
- Level results — stars earned, best completion time, lowest ink used, attempts and clears
- Coins, and which of the 216 themes and 108 vehicles you have unlocked
- Your settings — sound, music, haptics, volumes, auto-drive, stability and level hints
- Counters used only to pace advertising, such as how many levels you have finished
None of this is transmitted anywhere by the App. It is stored using Android's Room database and DataStore, both inside the App's private directory. Android's own backup service may include this data if you have device backup switched on; that is a Google platform feature governed by your Google account settings, and you can exclude the App from it in Android Settings.
Permissions the App requests
- INTERNET — loading ads and the consent form. Gameplay never needs it.
- ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — lets the App skip ad requests when the device is offline.
- VIBRATE — haptic feedback, which can be switched off in Settings.
- com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID — lets AdMob read the advertising identifier as described below.
The App requests no other permissions. It does not access location services, the camera, the microphone, contacts or the file system.
Advertising
The App displays advertising supplied by Google AdMob in four formats: full-screen interstitials between levels, native cards on the level map, and opt-in rewarded and rewarded-interstitial ads that unlock cosmetic content or coins. There are no banner ads anywhere in the App.
Google acts as an independent data controller for what it collects and may process:
- your device's advertising identifier (a resettable ID, not your name)
- approximate location inferred from your IP address, typically at country or city level
- ad interaction events — which ads were shown, viewed or tapped
- device and app information such as model, OS version and app version
Google uses this to select, cap and measure ads and to detect fraud. We do not receive, store or have access to any of it. Google's own policies apply: see the Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
The App itself sends no gameplay data, no analytics and no crash reports to us or to anyone else.
Your choices
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, a Google-certified consent form appears before any ad is requested, and your choice is applied for the life of the install. You can change it at any time from Settings → Ad privacy options inside the game.
On any device you can limit or reset the advertising identifier in Android Settings under Privacy → Ads. Resetting it disconnects future ad activity from past activity; opting out of personalisation means you still see ads, but they are not selected based on your interests.
If you decline consent the game remains fully playable. Every level, theme and vehicle stays reachable — content that offers a rewarded ad simply unlocks without one when no ad can be served and you are online.
Children
Doodle Road is rated for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ad requests are restricted to a general audience (G) content rating through the AdMob request configuration. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the advertising network, contact us and we will help you raise it with Google, which holds the data.
Data retention and deletion
Reset all progress in Settings clears every score, star, coin and unlock immediately. Uninstalling the App removes all remaining local data. Because we hold nothing on a server, there is no account for us to delete. Data held by Google as a result of ad serving is subject to Google's own retention policy and controls, linked above.
Security
All game data stays in the App's private storage, which Android isolates from other apps. Ad traffic between the device and Google is encrypted in transit over HTTPS. We operate no servers, so there is no database of ours that could be breached.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated text ships with the app update and is posted at this URL with the "Last updated" date changed. Material changes are called out in the release notes on Google Play.
